We approach cross-border situations and opportunities by identifying the dimensions of cultural orientation that underlie them; we reveal the potential conflicts between these characteristics as they are manifested by different cultures; and we include our client in developing and implementing client-specific resolutions to these conflicts. We will NOT just come in and give you bullet points on how to behave! Instead, we will explain the underlying cultural orientations and thus increase awareness, sensitivity and appreciation. Such understanding naturally leads to more accommodating and productive behavior at all levels. We demonstrate how much more similar than different we all are. Although these dimensions of cultural orientation exist in all cultures and have different within-culture expressions, all are designed to accomplish the same organizational and management objectives of efficiency, profitability and job satisfaction.
